You can overcome Domino data size limitations for the dialog list or the combo box.

One of the databases that we've been using for a long time is using a setup document where values from one field are imported using an agent from the SQL table. All of the sudden, the field that uses this formula were blank:

The setup document was OK, but the form that was using one of its fields showed nothing. I found out that the value of the setup document exceeded its limit.

Here is how I solved the problem. I created a view with only one column. I selected a multiple-value field from the setup document as a value for that column. Next, because I only had one record (one setup document and one field with multiple values), I categorized the view and had all of my entries in separate rows. Because the view is categorized, I had blank rows for each record. To solve this, I checked "Collapse all" when the database is first opened.

Now I have changed the field proprieties from "Use formula for choices" to "Use view...

dialog for choices."

When you click on the dialog box field, you will view the dialog box with all collapsed entries. If you double click on any selected row, it won't expand (like if you do when you open a view); instead, the selected entry will be entered in the field and the dialog box will close.

Note: This can replace any @DBLookup as long as data comes from Domino.
