To become an IBM Lotus Certified Professional, an administrator must pass three exams, which test their knowledge of system administration operating fundamentals, building the infrastructure and managing servers and users, respectively. Life as a system administrator is hard enough; luckily, many exam guides and tutorials are available to provide insight into the certification process.

This chapter comes from Exam Cram 2: Lotus Notes and Domino 6 System Administrator by Karen Fishwick and Tony Aveyard. It focuses on the third and final exam in the sequence, "Notes Domino 6: Managing Users and Groups," specifically zeroing in on tasks such as creating new users and setting up roaming users.

Like all other chapters in the book, this chapter is divided into three sections. The first part lists definitions for five key terms that all administrators should know, such as group and user management and Notes ID expiration. The second part describes 11 techniques, from moving a user's mail file to setting up roaming users, which must be mastered. The final part features practice questions and useful Web links.
