Before making the upgrade to 7.0, make sure you have the appropriate hardware and software. These requirements come to SearchDomino.com courtesy of Jessica Couto, president, Computer Focus.

Windows Domino Server requirements

  • Windows 2000 Server and Advanced
  • Windows 2003 – Standard and Enterprise
  • 512 MB RAM per CPU
  • 1.5 GB disk space per partition
  • 2xs physical RAM for disk swap space

    Client requirements

  • Windows 2000 or XP
  • 256 MB or more RAM
  • 275 MB in disk space required

    Minimum Windows Service Pack requirements

  • Windows 2000 Professional – Pack 2
  • Windows XP Professional – Pack 1
  • Windows 2000 Server – Pack 3

    iSeries requirements*

  • IBM i5/OSTM V5R3
  • OS/400 – Host servers, 5722SS1 (option 12)
  • OS/400 – Qshell Interpreter, 5722SS1 (option 30)
  • TCP/IP Connectivity Utilities for iSeries, 5722TC1
  • IBM Developer Kit for JavaTM, 5722JV1, plus the 1.4 JDK option for 5722JV1 (option 6)
    *Additional information will be provided in Release Notes

    Linux Requirements

  • UnitedLinux 1.0*
  • Powered by UnitedLinux 1.0 (Novell SLES 8.0)*
  • Linux on Intel Pentium
  • Linux on zSeries (31-bit)
    *These platforms require Service Pack 3

    AIX 5.2 patch requirements

  • ML2
  • Oct. 2003 Visual Age C/C++ RTE or higher
  • Bos.perf.protocols 5.2.0.31 (this will let nsd.sh use procstack instead of dbx)
