Management asked for views that could not be built because the documents needed to be categorized on Field two when Field one was the key. To solve this dilemma we built a reporting database, and created report documents there.

An agent, written in LotusScript, builds a collection of documents, finds the corresponding documents according to a key and creates a new "report" document combining selected fields from both. This new report document is now used in the report views, and categorized views can be written against any field in the report document.
