R5.02 integrates SameTime features in the Notes client. However, when upgrading from R5.0 or R5.01 to R5.02, the SameTime Connect icon is not added to the bookmark bar. Lotus' unsatisfactory solution has been to simply delete your bookmark.nsf file and restart the client. This adds the SameTime Connect icon, but means that you lose all of your bookmarks. The IBM Redbook,"Lotus Notes and Domino Take Center Stage..." has a development solution, but is also more complicated than necessary. My simple solution was: 1. Upgrade the Notes client 2. Open the Bookmark.ntf file 3. Open the Outline titled "UserBookmarkOrder" 4. Copy the "Sametime Connect" outline entry 5. Open your Bookmark.nsf file 6. Open the Outline titled "UserBookmarkOrder" 7. Paste the "Sametime Connect" outline entry. 8. Restart the Notes Client Of course, this is an easy solution for a single user or for a few users, but would not be very efficient for a large number of users. Even so, it may still be better than deleting bookmark.nsf.
