Have you ever had to re-certify users individually or had to select users through the person view in the Domino Directory? If so I will show you a quick way to recertify all users based off their mail server rather than through the people view in the Domino Directory.

Before you begin make sure you have appropriate access to your organization's Domino Directory and that you feel comfortable with the Lotus Notes R5 Developer client.

Step 1: Create a new Private view based off of the ServersMail Users view.

In the Domino Directory go to Create, View. Give your view a title like 'Recertify', change the view type to be 'Private'. Click on the 'Copy style from' button and select the 'ServersMail Users' and click OK.

Step 2: Copy the 'Recertify Selected People' action from the 'Person' view in the Domino Directory.

While in the Domino Directory, open the 'Person' view. Once in the 'Person' view go to Actions, View Options, Design. This will open the 'Person' view in Designer mode. Go to View, Action Pane. This will open a window to the right with all the actions in the 'Person' view. Highlight 'Recertify Selected People' and hit CTL+C.

Step 3: Take the copied action 'Recertify Selected People' and copy it to your new Private view.

Leaving the 'People' view open, toggle back to the Domino Directory and open your new Private view and go to Actions, View Options, Design. This will open your view in Designer mode. Go to View, Action Pane. This will open a window to the right with all the actions in the 'Person' view.

Now you have a view which allows you to recerify all of the users in a controlled, server by server manner.
