When making preparations to implement Domain Search, get the Domain Catalog in order by enabling the Catalog database agent "Remove Duplicate DB Listings." Do this on each server in the domain, including the Domain Search server.
The "Remove Duplicate DB Listings" agent was introduced in R5.02. The default for this agent is unchecked. Double-click on the agent to edit the agent, then edit the agent's schedule. Choose how often you would like the agent to run. You can run this agent manually or scheduled, one time per day, weekly or monthly, depending on your environment and how often databases move or change replica ID. If there is very little change with regard to movement of databases or replica IDs, we recommend this agent be invoked manually whenever necessary. Otherwise, consider when the Catalog task is run, and schedule the agent to run after the Catalog task.
