When using DOLS for Inotes, the Public Address book does not get downloaded to be used offline. This is detailed in Lotus Technote #186440. I have come across a way to DOLS enable the Public Address Book for use with Inotes.
Create a Directory Catalog on the Inotes server.
Set anonymous as No Access in the ACL. In the users mail file or template (inotes5.ntf), click on actions and Edit Offline Configuration. In the Rules tab under "Optional file to replicate," add the file name of your Directory Catalog ie. dc.nsf. Now when you create the DOLS subscription, it will download the Directory Catalog and the users mail file.
Identify the full path of the local directory catalog relative to the Inotes data directory. (ie. Sub_0dc.nsf, Sub_1dc.nsf it all depends on how many subscriptions that you have). Add this path to the NAMES= of the Inotesdata
otes.ini files, (ie. NAMES=dolnames.nsf, Sub_0dc.nsf). Restart the DOLS services. Now, when the user goes offline there is a offline public address book that will be kept in synch.
