The first bug in Rnext Beta 2, people have realized, is that the SmartIcon Bar doesn't load straight away. You physically have to move over with your mouse to make them visible. There are 2 Reasons. 1st: Rnext Beta2 has been installed without uninstalling R5. 2nd: Rnext Beta2 does not like free space between the Icons in the SmartIcon Bar.

Code

Best to do is uninstall R5 first before upgrading to Rnext Beta2.
If that does not help, use :
Go to :

File>Preferences>Tool Bar

After you select certain tools you want to display in the Bar, view the Tool Bar Example, select any blank Icon and remove it with the remove button.

Restart Rnext Beta2 and all SmartIcons will be displayed.
