An Administrator can request statistics from a server from their mail file, following the steps below:

  1. Create a mail memo.
  2. Address the mail memo to the Mail-In database created by the Statistics task.
  3. In the Subject field, type the desired information, for example: If the user wants statistics on disk space, type disk in the subject field. If the Subject field is left blank, the information received is the equivalent of a Show Statistics command at the server console.
  4. Sign the mail memo. NOTE: If you do not sign the mail memo you will receive an error message. The server will then reply with the requested information.
