In testing, if you are like me, you have one or more dummy Notes IDs that you frequently switch to in order to assume different roles, etc. One of the problems there is that it sometimes confuses the client, so when you switch back to your own ID, you may not immediately get the full access rights that you should have. So, for example, you may not be able to get into Designer on the database in question, because Notes still thinks you are under the test ID's security rights.

Code

Well, by accident I discovered that you can force it to recognize you if, after switching IDs, you just open the ACL of the database in question, then click OK to close it. Every time I have tried this, the client immediately grants me my proper access.
