Here's a tip to help you with migrating to Domino 6.
I have installed a new server for a customer, running Solaris 9.
Since I knew I would need CF1 right away I have performed the following:
- Installed 6.0.1
- Installed 6.0.1 CF1 Incremental update.
- Run "Server" in order to configure that new server...
Just than the problems began and I didn't got the required screens for "setting up the server".
Instead, I got some errors, not able to launch the X-Window with the GUI to setup the server.
After about three or four hours on site, it came to me as I was traveling home. I figured that someone didn't think customers would perform the above steps as I did. So I performed the following:
Removed ALL files installed.
- Installed Domino 6.0.1
- Launch the "Server" to setup the server.
WOAAAA guess what? - step 3 worked this time...
- Only now, I installed the CF1 patch.
