Toolbar tip to improve R6 performance

To greatly improve the performance of Lotus Notes 6, set the Toolbar Preferences so that dynamic toolbars are not shown. Toolbars in R6 are constructed using Outlines in the Bookmarks database, and using them slows down the Notes client.

Try this out, and you will be impressed.

  1. From the File menu select Preferences -> Toolbar Preferences
  2. Then remove the "Show Context Sensitive toolbar" option
