Changing Recommended Registry Settings For Domino Server Without Editing The Registry Directly

The first time a Domino server it informs you to edit the registry and change
the values of two keys.
Instead of editing the registry directly and possible causing harm to the
operating system, change it by doing the following:
On Windows NT 4
1) Double click on Networks icon in Control Panel, Click the Services tab,
Double click on Server, Select Minimize Memory Used. Click OK.
Select No if asked to reboot.
2) Double click on System icon in Control Panel, Select Performance tab, Under
Application Performance move the slider all the way to the left (None). Click
OK.

On Windows2000
Only 2) needs to be done.
Double click on System icon in Control Panel,
Click on Advance tab, then Performance Options button, for Optimize performance
for: select Backgroup Services. Click OK
