Directory Links on Notes Client

The directory link which is intended for the NotesServer works also for a NotesClient. In fact it is just a simple text file with the suffix *.dir containing the filepath to any directory.

Everybody can create such a file manually and put it into the NotesData directory of his NotesClient. Through this you can then administer server databases as if they were local ones and change ACLs like a charm.

You can also create links to more servers on your client and administer them at once.

PS: Of course you need at first access to the files (databases) on the server as a mapped drive so this tip is no security leak.
