Display Views From From Other Notes Databases

Have you wanted to show a view or docuent from a different database, or to have
a view show up in the home page instead of the subscriptions? Notes supports
the url format notes:// and it can be used anywhere that a normal http:// url
can be used.

So any where you are asked for an url you can have it display a view or a
document instead.
first step is to get the url you need. In Notes open a view or document in a
database on the server.
click on the world incon in the upper right corner, this will bring up the
Address field.
at the right end of the address field, click on the down arrow, this will make
it show the list of urls.
Click on the down arrow again and in the address field you will see
Notes://The Wall/862567BA005BE84B/64079758BF843CF4862565C600725C0F
This is the url to the document or view.
Now paste this into anywhere they ask for an url.
In your home page you can enter the value where they ask for the web page url
and the view will appear on you home page along with the action bar.

This works with frame sets also.

NOTE: This only works from the notes client not a browser. You can get the
browser to launch notes & display it.
