Easy Log-Out of Users from a Live Server

Q: Need to perform tasks on a server, but don't want users interfering -- The quick way?

A: Shut down the network port.

How: Issue the command -
Stop port xxxxx

When users are allowed to access again
Start Port xxxxx

No need for complex configuration changes or to reboot the server (except Web servers).
