Flash 4 Forms And Passing Information To Domino/Notes.

Well it took me a while but i sussed it out.
Flash 4 forms and passing information to Domino/Notes.

When creating a Flash 4 action with 'Get' to send information i used the
following url string to pass info.
(There were two fields Firstname and Lastname)
http://myserver/mydb.nsf/myform?OpenForm&

when the form opens the url is then:
http://myserver/mydb.nsf/myform?OpenForm&?Firstname=Kester+Lastname=Simm.
flash alaways adds ? direct after your string this caused problems opening a
domino url. I used the seperator "&" direct after domino url and it worked.
this info can then be extracted fr?n the Query_String field BY using a formula
Field Firstname:=Firstname;
takefive:=@Right(Query_String;"OpenForm&?");
T5:=@Left(takefive;"+");
T6:=@Right(T5;"=");
@SetField("Firstname";T6)

or by exampel opening a agent:
http://myserver/mydb.nsf/myAgent?OpenAgent&
It's just then a case of parsing the string .

This is of the course a simple way to do it there may be other ways.

But what is fun is that you can have an entire flash site which both looks
good, sounds good and can do all things such as pass on information to domino.

Tip2: Flash 4 (see tip on javascript)
If you open Image Resources and write the name of the flash movie you want to
use e.g. test.swf.save it.
then all you have to do after is paste the html code generated from flash 4
into notes.no need for $file or using a seperate form and view.
You can the use a style sheet in notes to get the write background colour you
want.

I got the tip fr?n javascript where someone uses image reources to store *.js
files. the list is endless.
