Tip

Get all Saturday dates, given a date range

Get all Saturday dates for a given date range. In this formula the date range is set to maximum of 1 year, for additional years you need to add more list values to variable "allsatdays". You can also slightly amend this code to get the Mondays or Tuesdays etc., You can use the list in a picklist, dialog list selection or a computed field. If you are not hard coding the Date Range then validate the LastDay to be after Firstday.

NB:-In all forums you will generally find tips to find only the number of Saturdays not the dates. This tip will help you to find the dates on Saturday or Sunday etc.,
Voila!! here goes the code....

FirstDay := @Date(@TextToTime("01-01-2002"));
LastDay := @Date(@TextToTime("31-01-2002"));
alldays:=@TextToTime(@Explode(@TextToTime(@Text(FirstDay)+"-"+@Text(LastDay))));
tdays:=@Text(@Weekday(alldays));
nsatdays:=@Elements(@Trim(@Replace(tdays;"1":"2":"3":"4":"5":"6";NULL)));
strtDay := @Weekday(FirstDay);
weekday := @If(strtDay < 7;@Adjust(FirstDay;0;0;(7-strtday);0;0;0);FirstDay);
