How to Save A Document through the required action / button only

Many time we wish the user would press the action / button provided to save the onscreen document.


They actually end up using the File -> Save or the Smart Icon to save the document.

A small workaround for this works in conjunction with the SaveOptions field.

CODE:
1. Create a hidden field on the form with the following attributes:

Name: SaveOptions
Type: Text / Computed
Default Value : "0"

This will ensure that the onscreen document is never saved till the value in the SaveOptions field is set to "1".


2. On the Save action / button add the following line before the save command:

FIELD SaveOptions:="1";
