Is Browser Document Being Edited

When writing functions that rely on reading and writing information from fields
in the browser, it's usefull to know if the document is in edit mode or not
before manipulating any information. Not knowing if a document is in editmode
can cause javascript errors, so wrap this little function call to make your
browser apps more robust and perform more intelligently.
function isDocBeingEdited(url)
{
var lurl=url.toLowerCase()
if (lurl.indexOf("openform")>0 || lurl.indexOf("editdocument")>0)
{
return true
}
return false
}

function submit()
{
// Get the URL of the main display frame
//
var url=parent.main.location.href
//
var doc=parent.main.document
//
// Call the IsDocBeingEdited Function
//
if (isDocBeingEdited(url)) {
if (confirm("Are you sure Y/N?"))
{
doc.forms[0].submit()
}
}
}
