Managing Multiple Bookings

The constant problem that developers come across is when trying to create
bookings (be it cars, rooms, equipment etc...) that does not use the inbuilt
notes calendering features, AND you want to ensure that there are not duplicate
bookings.

People try to 'lock' documents and all sorts of crap, but what it comes down to
is if two people hit the 'save' button at exactly the same time, then there
will be a double booking.

Solution : Don't fight it. Let them do it. On the quey close of the document
have an event that captures if there is a double booking, don't handle it, just
let the user know (via a messagebox or something) then let people handle the
clash.

If you want, store the phone numbers of all the users in profile documents, the
assistance you can give users is endless. But handling a clash requires human
intervention of some sort. Let them sort it out!
