Monitoring Notes RPCs and assessing application performance

Here's a useful setting for monitoring Notes RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls) and assessing application performance (the length of time it takes to open a view).

To activate, include the following entries in your notes.ini file and restart Notes:

Client_Clock=1 Debug_Console=1 Debug_Outfile=c:notesdebug.txt

The Client_Clock setting activates the tracing of the Notes RPCs.

The Debug_Console setting displays the RPCs in a Notes Debug Window. The Debug_Outfile setting writes the output to the specified file. ent to the server.

This variable is only supported on Notes 4.5 or higher on the Win32 platforms.
