Every once in awhile, something will occur that causes Notes to abend, (probably due to some other software interfering with Notes ;-). When you try to start Notes up again, you get a message saying "Unable to open desktop file". This happens because there are a few Notes tasks that have been left hanging. If you get rid of them, Notes will be able to start up again. To do this, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the "Close Program" window, then select "Nupdate" and click on the "End Task" button. Do the same thing again for the Nwrdaemn task. You should be able to start Notes again now and saves the time/effort of rebooting.
