Simple Web Hide Formula (Ie4+)

Simple Web Hide Formula (Ie4+)

This simple bit of JavsScript will hide and show an item on a webpage.

In order to hide/show larger blocks you will have to employ <dim> or <span>
tags with an ID. This will only work with IE4+.

When an item is hidden the other elements don't move upwards to eliminate the
whitespace. To remove the whitespace you will need to create a <Style> section
in your HTMLHead and apply an absolute postion to your <span>ned elements (they
can then subsequently be moved around with javascript).
1.This function is in the HTMLHead portion of the form:

"<SCRIPT language=\"javascript\"> function radiochange() {
if(document.all.areatohide.style.visibility==\'hidden\')
{document.all.areatohide.style.visibility=\'visible\'}
else{document.all.areatohide.style.visibility=\'hidden\'}}</SCRIPT>"

2.The following code is on the face of the form with square brackets around the
HTML tags for passthrough.

<H1 ID="areatohide" STYLE="visibility:visible">The text is visible</H1>

3.This code is placed in the HTML attributes of a radio button with 2 elements
(Visible and Hidden in that order).

"onClick=radiochange()"
