This function will strip any character out of a string.

Dim match As Integer

match = Instr( 1, temp, target )

While match > 0
ltemp = Left$( temp, match - 1 )
rtemp = Mid$( temp, match + 1, Len( temp ) - match )
temp = ltemp & rtemp
match = Instr( match, temp, target )
Wend

StripChar = temp
End Function
