Troublshooting Mail-Sending Server/Bkgrd Agent
Your background/server agent that is designed to send an e-mail msg executes as scheduled (per the log) but the mailsend step does not send the message as expected. This happens because the server needs, and does not have, network/access to itself. A mail-sending background agent attempts delivery to the server's mail.box OVER the network back to itself (not directly/locally). Make sure: 1) The server has authorization to access itself (see Server doc - "Can Access Server") -and- 2) The server can connect to itself (at R5 server console do a "Trace <servername>") Inability to connect to itself can be due to network/firewall config problems, DNS, etc.
