Using the Notes Port in R5

Ever had a multiple database application and wanted it to appear to end users that they are interacting with 1 database?

In R5 if you use a frameset you can open views etc from another database in that framset inside the Notes Client.

The trick is to use the Notes port as Lotus do for Domino.Doc.

The following code is in an outline entry as a computed url.

@If(@ClientType="Notes";"notes://Apps1/TDWH_Apps/Systems/HelpDesk/ipaddr.nsf/($All)?openview";"http://intra..tdwh.co.uk/TDWH_Apps/Systems/HelpDesk/ipaddr.nsf/($All)?openview")

Then in the properties of the outline enty select the target frame.

You can make this better by not coding server names etc.
