simple client-side agent to send an email message every hour or so. The trick
is to send the message to an email account at an ISP or free mail provider that
allows you to forward the mail to another address, which obviously is your
Notes address or - preferably - the address of a mail-in database.
SMTP port monitoring is nice, and events that count documents in smtp.box - a
la Candle's IntelliWatch - help, too, but this is one way to know for SURE that
mail is passing through your SMTP MTA...
