About the White Paper:
IBM WebSphere and Lotus Domino are both strategic products for e-business and business-to-business or B2B. Domino and its related products deliver collaborative commerce services, while WebSphere allows for Java-based Web applications with a strong transactional emphasis. This 330-page paper documents the setup and configuration of an integrated environment with WebSphere and Domino on the IBM e-server iSeries.
Part one of this paper focuses on administration topics, such as single sign-on (SSO) and the use of a common LDAP directory for authentication, as well as options for different HTTP stacks.
Part two focuses on investigating the application development topic of how WebSphere can access Domino applications. It shows and discusses code snippets from example programs.
The examples in this paper were developed using VisualAge for Java Enterprise Edition 3.5.3 and tested using WebSphere Application Server 3.5.3. To use this guide effectively, you should be familiar with the Java programming language and the concepts of Enterprise JavaBeans. |
