Error: "Cannot open this database due to invalid disc structure"Some participants in a Notes pilot we are conducting have been getting this error message when trying to open a local replica database sent to them as a zipped attachment to an e-mail message. We have tried removing the icon and opening from the menu, which is not working, as well as deleting the local DB and sending a new zipped version. Most of the time the new file opens fine, but we still have a couple users who are getting this error when trying to open it.
Cache has been deleted, machine cold-booted, all other windows apps closed. We can't find anything in Knowledge Base about this.
Out of approximately 80 participants, three are having this trouble. All participants work and use the system at home. When the DBs the three participants cannot open CAN always be successfully opened by others, on other machines.
Do you have any suggestions?
It sounds like the systems at home have older versions of Notes installed and do not recognize the on-disk structure of the file you send them. Verify the version of the Notes client being used by those three individuals. You may need to install the current client on the machines.
