Accuracy of certlog.nsf
How accurate is the Certlog.nsf? The reason why I ask is I was trying to use this to make sure that all my users were recertified correctly. What I found was the following:
1. That some users don't appear in the log at all.
2. Some users have multiple entries in the certlog.nsf.
3. Some users certificates expired even though in the certlog.nsf they good until 2002.
From what I can tell the certlog.nsf is not completely accurate - at least not for us. We are running one Domino R5.07a server with approx 100 clients. Any information you can give me would be greately appreciated.
If the people were properly created/certified on the Admin server, and the certlog was in place at the time, your certlog should be completely accurate. Multiple entries could be from recertifications. The newest entry is usually correct. As for expirations, if the user never accepted the new certificate, they would expire even though the certlog shows them as being active.
