I have need to put a reader field on the person document in Notes V6.5 Directory database. I include in the reader field all the server names and the administrators. Everyone that is supposed to see the record can and those not included can't.
The problem comes when I try to send e-mail to one of the people on that server whose person document has the reader field. In a server-to-server Notes e-mail transfer the mail is not delivered, and the sender gets a delivery failure stating "Not authorized to send mail to this user or group."
What else must I put in the reader field to allow e-mail to be delivered to the people in this directory?
Putting reader fields on person docs in the NAB sounds like trouble to me. Everyone in your organization must be able to see person docs in order to send mail to that person or look up their mail name. Why are you using reader fields in this way? Please write back and let me know what your overall goal is. Perhaps there is something I don't understand, or maybe I can suggest a different approach.
