Q

Blocking spam

Can we stop SPAM attacks on a Domino Server. I am using R5.06a. They seems to use many many different e-mail addresses to try to relay e-mail using our server. Domino seems to have no control of this, even when I use restrictions on an inbound server. Obviously, I don't want to block all external e-mail. Any suggestions? Please help.
Blocking spam is tough. You need to make sure your outbound controls don?t allow outside people to send through you. Other than that, there isn't much you can do other than block spammer IPs and make sure you are secure. Once you put an SMTP server out on the Internet, spammers will find it.
