Building a view based on dates keyed in by the user

I'm working in Version 4.6.7. I will be upgrading to 5 next month. I want to build a view based on dates keyed in by the user. For example, I would have a form and on that form the user would key in a date range and then click a button that would trigger a view being displayed with only the records that are in the data range. Can this be done?
Ah, yes! Upgrade to release 5 when release 6 has just been released. Is it strategic to stay one version behind? Just kidding ? please pardon the fun. The correct answer is yes, it can be done in the versions that you are using. You didn't say if you needed to do this using a Web browser or a Notes client. However, it can be accomplished either way by using the Search View.
