I have a controlled access section that uses a field in the form to determine who can edit it. The formula for the section (computed for display) is:
editorlist:"[Admin]"But the section contains buttons that I want all users to be able to use when the document is only opened for read. The buttons don't work if I use this formula.
@If(@IsDocBeingEdited; editorlist:"[ ;Admin]"; "[AllUsers]")(I know it could have been "", but we have an AllUsers role, so I use it.)
Unfortunately, it gives access to everyone if the document is opened read-only and then switched into edit mode. Any suggestions?
Your formula should work fine, but it will only apply in edit mode. Check to make certain that the documents in question don't have a stored value for the access section from before. If it exists, it will override the computed for display value.
If you want the buttons available to all users in read mode, place them outside the section so they are always available.
