Q

Calling up an app with a field

I have a LotusScript agent that looks up a PhoneNumber field in the NAB based upon the sender of the e-mail, which works fine. Now I need to pass that PhoneNumber field value to an application that is on our computers. Basically, I need to call an app with a field. Can this be done in LotusScript?

In Formula Language, I can call the app and give the field value, but I can't look it up. @Command( [Execute]; "psdesktop.exe"; PSPhoneNumber )
You can use the Shell statement. Using your code above you could do something like this:

intReturn=Shell(psdesktop.exe ndocCurrent.PSPhoneNumber(0)) Check out the Shell statement in the Domino Designer help for more information.
