Checking e-mail with .Send

Is there some technique to check whether or not an e-mail was successfully sent with the .Send method in Lotus Script? Is there another way to send email with Lotus Script and be able to verify whether an email was successfully sent? If the email address the user provides on the form doesn't work, I must send the e-mail to my company's help desk.
Not really, other than to check to see if an error was generated from the call to the send method. You could try to look for dead mail in the mail.box and mail returned when sent from the code but that's about it as far as I know.
