I am trying to connect to the PeopleSoft Message Agent using DECS and the PeopleSoft connector. The ODBC connectivity test works fine, however, when I run nps75test.exe, it fails at the Message Agent test. I have verified that all of the IDs I have been trying have full access to PeopleSoft. I have installed a PeopleSoft client and have verified that it can reach the PeopleSoft server. However, I still can't access the Message Agent. Any advice would be great!
Configuring DECS and PeopleSoft is either easy or hard and I have run into both situations. You did not mention what version of PeopleSoft you are using, but did mention using the PS 7.5 Connector. If you are indeed running a PS 7.5 client and server then you might be missing a configuration setting. Make doubly sure that everything that should be in your path is (like the PS libraries). If the test program still does not work then you should contact Lotus support, since the PS Connector is a "premium" product and you paid a good penny for it.
