Connectors and LEI

Two questions regarding connectors and LEI:

- When connecting to an Oracle Data Source, is it enough to have installed the Oracle Connector or do I still need SQL*Net?
- What do I need to connect to a DB2 Source?
In short, you always need the vendor's client/connectivity software installed. All of the Connectors communicate with the client software and LEI/DECS, as a middleware DLL file (note that all Connectors have the file extension .LCX). You should find answers to all of your questions regarding Oracle, DB2 and what client software is required for your version of the RDBMS in the Lotus Connectors Connectivity, which is installed on either your R5 server or client system. Look for helplcconn.nsf.
