Copy to another DB without resetting the creation date

When I copy old documents to a new database, the creation date is reset to the time the copy takes place. Is there a way to copy to another database without resetting the creation date?
You can use the LotusSript copy to database method of the notesdocument class to copy documents from one database to another. The Created date will remain the same as the original.
