Create R5 database with signed sections available on the Web

I need to create an R5 database that has signed sections, available on the Web. I know this is not supported, BUT is there a way to do something similar from the Web?
We have used buttons to set the date/time and username of the individual clicking the button into fields relating to electronic signature. As long as the user is logged in and authenticated, this can act as a signature.
