Create a Web based resume system using Domino

I am having difficulties trying to create a Web based resume system using Domino. I would like the user to create a resume in a Domino database using a Web browser. I would like to have it so the user can only create the document once. This way when they go into the database again, they can only edit their existing resume, but not be able to create another one. I am pulling my hair out at this point trying to figure this one out. If this can be done, how would you suggest I do it?
I assume that the user is logged into the system in some way, otherwise you do not have a method of tracking the same user from session to session. When the user triggers the create action, you could do a dblookup on a view of resumes by user to see if a resume document is already created with that user's identity. If the document exists, tell the user they already have a resume and want to edit the existing one.

A friendlier user experience would be to have the action or button to create a new resume hidden if there is already a resume for that user.
