Create a link to launch attachment in new IE window

I access a Notes 5.0 database through HTTP. The attachment in a document acts as an icon on the Web page. I'd like to make a link with some characters that will launch the attachment in a new Internet Explorer window rather than show the icon on the Web page. Can I do this? If so, how? Thanks!
What you would need to do is create a computed field that built a link for each document attached. The code should generate the HTML to open a new window with the document. You can also generate whatever text you would like to appear in the link. If you do not want the icons to be visible on the Web, they would need to be in a field that is not visible in the Web form. The code for the link could use the UNID of the document and the HTML $File command to get the attachment.
