Customizing the Domino Directory

Is it possible to customize the Domino Directory (NAB)? I need to add in certain fields, which would allow the transfer of data from a SQL table into the Domino directory using LDAP. Or can you recommend a better alternative? Many thanks.
Domino can use LDAP natively as a directory, so it isn't really necessary to transfer data. Consult your Administrator documentation.

To answer your actual question: you can customize the Domino Directory. It's just a Notes database. You can also store extra fields in documents without modifying the forms – just assign them values in your program. If you do modify the design, take care! You may break Domino server functions that depend on this design. Also, when you upgrade you will need to reapply your changes.
