Design Replace fails after hiding a design of a Notes DB

I've recently had a request to hide the design of a Notes database. After successfully performing this operation, I also had to perform a "Design Replace" based on changes in my template. This was also successful for the first few attempts. However, I am now receiving an error message that states: "Lotus Notes -- Design Replace failed, you are not authorized to perform that operation."

We are at a virtual standstill due to the fact that a "Design Refresh" cannot be performed on a DB with a hidden design, and the "Design Replace" itself will not work. I have full manager access in the ACL, so I can't understand what the problem/fix might be. I am running R6. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
There was a bug in 6.0 that did not allow you to refresh the design of a hidden database unless the template itself was also hidden. This will be fixed in 6.03. Until then, you could refresh the design of this database with a version of the template whose design was also hidden (though please be sure to save a copy of the template with the source in it!). Or if you have a beta version of 6.03 or 6.5, you will see that you can now properly refresh the design.
