Diverting information to another database without user awareness

When logging all initial info on database "x", some documents created will follow full investigation on database "x" while others must follow shorter investigation in other database. This means that I have to inherit info from document in database "x" to another database. How do I do this without the user knowing that his input has been diverted to another database when he saves it?

This depends largely on how you plan to manipulate the data in the secondary database. You could selectively replicate to another replica (one way) if the documents are just being read in the secondary database. You could use a scheduled agent to periodically run against all new documents and create copies of them in the secondary database.
