Domino server added to Windows domain or setup as single server?

Should a Domino server be added to a Windows domain or setup as a single server? If it should not -- why?
There is no compelling reason to not put it in your domain. Domino doesn't need to be in a Windows Domain or Forest, but it does make OS administration and security simpler. Access to the OS can be more easily managed with domain accounts, and some programs (services like a backup agent) might require a domain account to run properly.
