I have one form where there are multiple rich text fields. Users are uploading files in all of those fields. Once that is done, they will submit the document to approver. After that is complete, those rich text fields should become non-editable. I was able to do this by using embedObject. But whenever I detach the file and then embed it again in a non-editable rich text field, the name of the file is changed to some junk name. Whatever I try, I am not able to give it the correct name. Can you suggest a solution?
You said you are detaching the file. Make certain that when you detach the file, you are saving it with the name you want it to retain. You also must remove the file from the rich text field (notesEmbeddedObject.Remove). If you don't remove the original file, the system generates a name since the original name already exists.
