I am pretty new to LEI Administration. I hope you can help me out to resolve the issue and I really do appreciate in advance. I have attached the description below in the event properties of the server description:
The description for Event ID (4097) in Source Quincy cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event:
Since you did not include any details, other than the error message, it's going to be pretty hard for me to help you with this one. However, I'll take a stab at it from clues in the message. The error message contains a reference to "LotusDominonleicsm.exe", which is the Win32 ControlStoreManager. This is the underlying API that Lotus uses to figure out metadata, etc. The reference to your registry not containing the right DLL files is the next clue that tells me your client software - whatever backend "Quincy" points to, is probably not installed properly. This might even be a problem with your Notes client on the LEI server. Make sure your Notes client works okay and that you can access the LEI Admin and Log database on the Domino server (it is most likely that LEI would fail on startup, but better to double check everything). Next, confirm that your client software is working properly - if Quincy is not a Notes database make sure you can query it with the client tools provided by its vendor (something like 'select * from emp;').
However, I'm guessing this information probably won't get you very far, so you can send me another question with full details about your environment and setup. Please include OS & versions of Notes/Domino, what is installed on the LEI server, is LEI running as a server task withing Domino or stand-alone, and what is "Quincy".
